Laser Cutting
When fabricating complex components or products, CNC laser cutting is often the first step in a longer fabrication process. The ability to cut various metals precisely, every time, and with minimal waste is crucial.
We can supply a range of laser cut and tube laser cut materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and brass.
The thickness of material that we can cut varies based on the metal.
- Mild steel up to 25mm
- Stainless steel up to 20mm
- Aluminium up to 16mm
- Copper up to 8mm
- Brass up to 8mm
The maximum sheet size that can be cut is 3050mm x 1550 and the cutter can automatically load and position sheets, allowing very fast processing, that can run unmanned 24/7 if needed. This allows very cost competitive cutting of products and components.
Laser cutting if often a first step in the production of products of components that we make for clients. The accuracy of cutting, and the high-quality finish of the final laser cut surface are ideal for items that are going on to further fabrication steps, such as folding, welding or milling.
For complex components or products, especially those that are going on to be extensively milled, we use laser cutting to quickly, efficiently and accurately remove material prior to milling.
For products that are going to be folded, we can use our CAD software to ‘flatten out’ and process your design to give an accurate shape to use in the flatbed laser cutter. This ensures that once the item is precision folded, it exactly meets your specifications. We can also supply tube laser components.
